Queens County, New York’s first in-person criminal jury trial of 2021 came to a halt after the defense attorney in the case received rapid test results indicating he has COVID-19, according to court officials.
The Legal Aid Society attorney is waiting on the results of a “more reliable” PCR test, Office of Court Administration spokesman Lucian Chalfen said.
