Georgetown University Law Center on Thursday parted ways with an adjunct law professor whose comments about the poor academic performance of Black students roiled the campus and led to widespread calls for her firing after the video of her remarks went viral.

Law dean William Treanor announced Thursday that he terminated the school’s relationship with adjunct Sandra Sellers and that fellow adjunct David Batson has been placed on administrative leave during an investigation by the university’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Affirmative Action. The law school is also reviewing student grades in the course co-taught by Sellers and Batson, who are both mediators.
