When Jessie Liu spoke to a group of Justice Department employees this week, she was seated in her office at her new law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
But the former U.S. attorney for D.C. can’t let DOJ go quite yet: On the wall behind her was the seal for the department, and Liu referred to the U.S. attorney’s office as “we,” which she said was “because it will always just have such a place in my heart.”
