While sexual harassment and other forms of harassment are a common issue in workplaces, judicial clerks face particular challenges given the power dynamics in chambers and the timing and length of a typical clerkship, panelists said during a Zoom presentation hosted by the Brennan Center for Justice at New York University School of Law on Thursday.
Some clerks may believe they should “just white-knuckle it” through challenges in a yearlong clerkship, said Elizabeth K. Peck, assistant dean for judicial engagement and professional development at Cornell Law School
