Jennifer Abruzzo, the president’s nominee for general counsel to the National Labor Relations Board, reported earning $183,486 while working as an attorney for Communications Workers of America and pledged to avoid matters for a year involving the union.

The amount was revealed Friday in Abruzzo’s financial disclosure, submitted as part of the nomination process for Senate confirmation. Abruzzo, the special counsel for strategic initiatives at CWA, is President Joe Biden’s pick to replace Trump-era NLRB general counsel Peter Robb, whom he fired in January on inauguration day. Robb was a management-side lawyer from the Vermont law firm Downs Rachlin Martin.
