Capital markets and a reinvigorated transactional space drove competitive recruitment of seasoned attorneys and outgoing in-house counsel at big law firms this week.

Michael Lappin joined the transactions practice group of Foley & Lardner in an of counsel role in Milwaukee after more than a decade serving in senior leadership roles at Advocate Aurora Health. As the nonprofit health care company’s first general counsel, Lappin created its legal department and served as co-executive lead on all of the organization’s mergers.
