What are investment professionals expecting from the markets in the next few years?
Most firms have lowered their expectations for U.S. stocks because of high valuations, and the U.S. bond market is stuck in low starting yields, Susan Dziubinski, Morningstar.com’s director of content, wrote in a recent blog post.
International stocks shine, however. Dziubinski said each of the firms Morningstar surveyed forecast better returns for foreign stocks than for U.S. ones.
Morningstar analysts looked at a number of highly rated stocks and funds that investors may consider to increase their exposure to international equities.
For those who prefer not to pick individual stocks, they identified a good number of mutual funds and ETFs that provide broad-based exposure to non-U.S. names.
