Television news host Joy Reid has asked a Brooklyn federal judge to disqualify lawyer L. Lin Wood from a defamation lawsuit in the wake of his attempts to “subvert” the Constitution by pushing a series of conspiracy theories and baseless lawsuits in an attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

In a 30-page filing Monday, Reid and her Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher attorneys said that Wood’s pro hac vice admission should be withdrawn in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, where Wood is representing a supporter of former President Donald Trump who accused the MSNBC personality of falsely asserting that she had gone on a racist tirade directed at a California teenager.
