Goldstein & Russell partner Sarah Harrington, a former assistant to the U.S. solicitor general, is expected to rejoin the U.S. Department of Justice to serve as the deputy assistant attorney general overseeing nationwide appellate litigation, according to people with knowledge of the planned move.

Before joining the Supreme Court and appellate practice at Goldstein & Russell in 2017, Harrington spent eight years in the solicitor general’s office. She earlier was an appellate attorney in the Justice Department’s civil rights division.
