Shearman & Sterling is reopening an office in Munich with the hire of two finance partners from Linklaters.
Shearman closed its offices in Munich and Düsseldorf in 2013, leaving it with a single German location—in Frankfurt. But the reopening of a Munich office is a strategic move, as the city is home to many multinational companies, such as BMW, Siemens, MAN, Linde, Allianz and MunichRE.
