Law firms are picking off capital market attorneys from rival firms in order to tap into the resurgent market as Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, DLA Piper and Proskauer Rose become the latest firms to announce capital markets hires.

On Monday, DLA Piper announced it is hiring Goodwin Procter partner Michael Maline as co-chair of the firm’s capital markets practice. Orrick announced that it has hired three corporate partners, including two capital markets attorneys: London-based Cooley associate Edward Dyson and New York-based Cravath, Swaine & Moore counsel Mark Mushkin.
