Janney Montgomery Scott recently recruited wirehouse advisor Theodore Papadopoulos, who’s been appointed senior vice president of wealth management in Garden City, New York, the firm said Thursday.
Earlier, Papadopoulos worked for UBS, where he had the same title and managed $360 million in assets, from August 2012 until he left the firm this month, according to his LinkedIn profile. Prior to UBS, he was an advisor at JPMorgan from 2010 to 2012, Morgan Stanley from 1997 to 2010 and Merrill Lynch from 1995 to 1997.
This news comes after a busy year in which Janney added 28 advisors from Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo, Merrill Lynch and UBS with over $2.2 billion in combined client assets. (The majority of the wirehouse advisors disclosed their client assets, though several did not; see the full list below.)
Overall, Janney recruited a total of 43 advisors and nearly $4 billion in assets to its Private Client Group, it said Tuesday. In addition to moving from the wirehouses, they joined from Raymond James, Ameriprise, Edward Jones and BB&T.
