Ameriprise Nabs $500M LPL Team

Ameriprise Financial has recruited Voyage Financial Group, a Lisle, Illinois-based wealth management practice with almost $500 million in client assets that spent the past 14 years with LPL Financial.

The nine-member Voyage team — which recently joined the franchise channel of Ameriprise — is led by co-founders and private wealth advisors Tom Royce, who has been in the business for 25 years, and Mike Chong, who has 20 years of industry experience. It works with 850 client households.

“We evaluated how we’re doing business amid the significant changes in the industry —  which were only accelerated due to the pandemic — and realized we needed to make a change in order to have the resources and support we need to reach our practice goals,” Royce explained in a statement.
