Brazilian firm Barbosa Müssnich Aragao has brought on a new partner for its data privacy, technology and digital business practice as the country prepares for the implementation of a long-awaited data protection law.

Felipe Palhares will shutter his São Paulo-based firm, Palhares Advogados, to join Barbosa Müssnich as large Brazilian firms scramble to beef up their data protection capabilities. The country of 210 million inhabitants consistently ranks among those with the highest incidents of cyberattacks.
