General counsel and in-house attorneys with management responsibilities should play a greater role in identifying and fostering underrepresented talent who have the potential to assume leadership roles, a group of legal leaders said during the California Minority Counsel Program’s first virtual conference on Tuesday.

“One question I always think about is how do we increase minority representation in leadership positions,” Randall Collins, trademark, copyright and marketing counsel at HP Inc. in San Francisco, said in a discussion panel called ”Lessons on Managing and Leading.”
