Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan has launched a class action lawsuit against the state of Victoria in Australia, alleging that its failure to properly quarantine returned travelers caused a second wave outbreak of COVID-19 and losses to businesses.
“The Hotel Quarantine class action seeks compensation for loss suffered by businesses alleged to have been caused by negligence in relation to the hotel quarantine program in Victoria,” the firm says on its website.
