Principal Financial Hires New Head of Customer Experience: Personnel Moves

Principal Financial Group has hired Jennifer Oyler to be head of customer experience, inside the Des Moines, Iowa-based company’s global marketing team.

Oyler previously was the chief experience executive and strategist at Decooda.

Oyler has also worked for State Farm.

Oyler has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Arkansas, a master’s degree in business from the University of Arkansas, and a doctorate in organizational behavior and statistics from Virginia Tech.

In other personnel moves news:

The American Council of Life Insurers, Washington, has hired Cindy Goff to be vice president, supplemental benefits & group insurance.

Goff previously was director of public policy for Aflac.

She also has been vice president of policy for EmblemHealth; vice president for product policy at America’s Health Insurance Plans, and director of public policy at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota.

She has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Minnesota.

She has been active in efforts to shape the state laws and regulations that apply to health insurance products other than major medical insurance.

Covered California, Sacramento, California, has hired Kevin Cornish to be chief information officer.

Covered California is a nonprofit health insurance distributor that’s part of the Affordable Care Act public exchange system.

Cornish — who will earn $260,000 per year — previously was the chief technology officer at the Office of the President at the University of California.

He also has been the vice president of the IT Infrastructure Program at Kaiser Permanente.

Cornish will succeed Karen Ruiz, who is retiring.

Cornish has a bachelor’s degree in human information processing from the University of California, San Diego.

AmeriHealth Caritas, Philadelphia, has named Karen Dale to be chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer.

AmeriHealth Caritas focuses on running managed Medicaid plans and other public health programs.

Dale has been the market president at AmeriHealth Caritas District of Columbia, and she will keep that position.

Dale has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from George Mason University and a master’s degree in psychiatric mental health nursing from the Catholic University.

Milliman, Seattle, has hired John-Paul Augeri to be the leader of its global employee benefits consulting practice.

Augeri previously was head of global services and solutions at Willis Towers Watson.

Augeri has a bachelor’s degree in math from the University of Notre Dame.

He’s a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.

Lockton has hired Thomas Ricks to be vice president, data analytics, at its Los Angeles-based Lockton Pacific Series arm.

Ricks previously was a vice president at Aon.

Ricks has a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from Brigham Young University. He’s a fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Before he began working for Aon, he was an actuarial intern at Blue Shield of California.
