Longtime Herbert Smith Freehills partner and firm managing partner of finance, real estate and projects Jason Ricketts has resigned from the firm to join the investment company and charitable foundation of billionaire iron ore miner Andrew Forrest.
Perth-based Ricketts will join the Minderoo Foundation and the Tattarang investment group as general counsel in October. He has acted for the public and private sectors in the delivery of major projects in Australia and overseas, and has global experience in the water, waste, energy, transport, health and mining sectors.
