Manhattan Life Group Inc. is expanding a Medicare supplement (Medigap) insurance distribution relationship and adding a voluntary benefits distribution relationship.

The Houston-based insurer is selling a new Medigap product through Integrity Marketing Group LLC.

The insurer has also arranged to sell small-group voluntary benefits products through Paylogix LLC, a benefit plan administration firm.

ManhattanLife has awarded Integrity Marketing exclusive distribution rights for the new ManhattanLife Assurance Company Medicare Supplement product.

Integrity Marketing is a Dallas-based company that has been growing rapidly through acquisitions. One of its units, AIMC, has been selling ManhattanLife Medigap products, under the Family Life brand name, since 2009.

David Harris, ManhattanLife’s chief executive officer, made a point of mentioning agents in the company’s announcement of the product launch.

“Integrity is a key partner in our success,” Harris said in a comment included in the announcement. “We pull out all the stops to maintain great relationships with our producers and policyholders.”

In related news, Paylogix said it has designated ManhattanLife as a Premier Provider.

The Westbury, New York-based company is adding ManhattanLife Quick Case voluntary benefits products to the Paylogix Exchange Builder system.

An employer’s broker can use the Paylogix exchange system to mix voluntary benefits products from about 50 different carriers, and have all of the charges flow into one online bill.

ManhattanLife’s list of Quick Case voluntary benefits products includes accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, and 10-year level term life insurance.

Paylogix said it hopes to add more ManhattanLife products to its exchange system after it has the Quick Case products up and running.
