UNCOOL - Law firms’ failure to communicate the substance of outside counsel guidelines to their attorneys who do the billing is leading to slower rates of realization and increasing write-offs, Dan Packel reports. In a survey by the Association of Legal Administrators and technology company Bellefiel, respondents from nearly 200 law firms said that a breakdown in the communication of outside counsel’s expectations leads to rejected or reduced invoices.
