Yan Xuan, who joined Squire Patton Boggs in July 2018 as a Shanghai partner to launch an international public policy practice in China, has left after less than a year with the firm.

Xuan left Squire in April to join U.S. software giant Microsoft Corp. as global vice-president based in Beijing. Before his brief stint at Squire, he spent most of his career working as a business executive at multinational companies, including Nielsen Co., Oracle Corp., Microsoft Corp. and AT&T Inc. Between 2010 and 2011, he held a senior in-house legal role at Qualcomm Inc.
