Here’s a scheduling anomaly I found interesting. RwandAir flies Kigali, Rwanda to Mumbai four times a week with a Boeing 737-800. It’s a 3248 mile flight.
The super strange thing is that the computer reservations systems show this flight as taking just one hour.
Instead of cruising at around 550 miles per hour, the plane must be flying faster than 3200 miles per hour since one hour is gate-to-gate and not even time in the air.
This makes for some efficient connections, too, compare transit times with RwandAir to other options for Kigalia – Singapore via Mumbai versus flying Qatar via Doha.
This is a glitch, of course — but one I wish I’d found on Saturday. It’s verifiable in a variety of systems, so would have been the perfect April Fools post.

The actual arrival slot is 0505z (viz. 1035 local time). That makes it a 6.5 hour flight. Whoever loaded the schedule transposed local and zulu.
Ahh yes, RwandAir has implemented wormholes to shorten travel times.
