On thing that I found helpful in bridging this gap is creating opportunities for employees to actively participate in value-driven projects from day one. For example, if innovation is a core value, encouraging new hires to propose fresh ideas in their first week can make a huge difference. OR you can introduce a "Values in Action" day, where teams collaborate on projects that directly reflect our core values, like sustainability or community service. This not only brings your values to life but also fosters a sense of belonging and purpose among new employees.

Truly understanding and adapting to the communication and collaboration preferences of new colleagues can make a significant difference in how quickly and smoothly you integrate into a team. One thing that I do is taking the time to observe and ask questions about these preferences early on. It shows respect for your colleagues' work styles and helps in building strong professional relationships from the start.
