The biggest reason why I think AI will improve software engineers: Traditionally, most software engineers begin their journey by writing code as they learn. However, with the advent of AI, the focus will shift towards READING code. This approach will enable budding engineers to first understand and analyse existing code, and then make edits or corrections as needed. In the realm of software development, reading is indeed more beneficial than writing. Reading > writing.
