I’m VP, Editor-in-Chief for the Portfolio imprint at Penguin Random House, where I manage a team of brilliant editors acquiring and editing a wide range of commercial nonfiction, mostly in current affairs, narrative, biography, memoir, investigative journalism, psychology, and self-help. In the last decade I’ve published twelve New York Times bestsellers and seventeen Wall Street Journal bestsellers, including The Obstacle Is the Way by Ryan Holiday; Digital Minimalism by Cal Newport; My Life in Full by Indra Nooyi; The Four by Scott Galloway; This Is Marketing by Seth Godin; Captivate by Vanessa Van Edwards; Thinking in Bets by Annie Duke; Hooked by Nir Eyal; and American Kingpin by Nick Bilton. I am also co-founder, with Bria Sandford, of the new imprint Thesis. Prior to joining Penguin in 2011, I held positions at McGraw-Hill, PublicAffairs, and Basic Books. I live in Brooklyn with my husband and two children.
