Hi card making friends – Happy Friday.  I’m sneaking in at the end of the week with a beautiful NEW Release – Spellbinders Glimmering Flowers.  This is a glimmer hot foil release with Stencils. YEAH!  Two LARGE flower plates, Peonies and Buttercups and a double sentiment set that you foil all at once, and cut out all at once (love this).   Check below for detailed instructions on how I completed these cards.

I decided on blues for today’s cards using Simon Says Stamps Pawsitively Saturated Inks because I love them for stenciling.  I used Seafoam and Cadette.   Both cards are Glimmer Foiled in Polished Brass Glimmer Foil as are the sentiments.

As you know stenciling can really speed up your card making process as opposed to say copic coloring or colored pencils.  Even quicker, is foiling directly onto colored cardstock.  Alternatively, I could have ink blended an ombre blue background for the card on the left.  You have lots of design options here.

How to create the Spellbinders Glimmering Flowers Card #1

Start with a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Hammermill white cardstock and glimmer foil the Glimmering Peonies in Polished Brass Foil.

Next, using the layered stencils and the above noted inks, use blending brushes to add the color to the image.

Then, cut it down to a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece, mat it with gold cut to 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″.  Place foam tape on the back before attaching to a A2 sized top folding white card base.

Finally, gold glimmer foil the sentiments and attach one with foam squares to the center bottom of the card.

How to create the Spellbinders Glimmering Flowers Card #2

The cutting instructions are the same as card #1.

Start by Gold Glimmer Foiling the Glimmering Buttercups onto the card front.  Note, I off-set it to the left side.

Next, attach the gold matt and attach it to the card base.

Finally, add a sentiment.  You could add some gold gems to this one, but I decided I wanted to keep this one really clean and simple.
