Simon Says Stamp Tiled Posy Stenciled Card

Happy Friday – I love Fridays, I really love this Friday because we have a Simon Says Stamp Instagram Hop for you today.  My contribution to the makes is the Simon Says Stamp Tiled Posy Stenciled Card.   I used the NEW Tiled Posy layered stencil set from the CELEBRATE release and then overlaid it with a pretty flower and a quick and easy sentiment.  All the card instructions are below for you in a downloadable PDF , along with the details and giveaways of the hop.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. See below for my full disclosure.

GIVEAWAY:  Leave a comment at each stop along the hop for a chance to win a $25. Gift Card for the Simon Says Stamp Store.  Winners will be chosen randomly from the comments left on each hopper’s post.  All winners will be announced on Simon’s Instagram feed on Tuesday April 30.

How to create the Simon Says Stamp Tiled Posy Stenciled Card

Pawsitively Saturated Inks Used:

Iris, Heather, Limelicious Sunbeam and Surf.

Start by securing a white 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Hammermill cardstock to a protected work surface.

Next, work your way through the layered stencils (4 in total), using the above noted inks and small blending brushes to lay down the print or wallpaper for the base of the card.  Attach it to a top folding white A2 sized card base 4-1/4″ x 11″ score and fold at 5-1/2″.

How to create the Simon Says Stamp Tiled Posy Stenciled Card

Start by die cutting the Sunrise Stem twice from white cardstock and gluing together the layers, but not the flower.

Next, using Iris, Heather and Limelicious inks, ink blend the pieces, then layer them and glue the flower together (the flower has two layers)

Then, ink blend another piece of card stock in the Heather ink and use this to die cut the Bestie sentiment.  Die cut the shadow from vellum.  This adds a softer shadow to the sentiment without interrupting the flow of the background stenciling.

Attach to the card with foam squares.

PRO-TIP – you can see adhesive through the vellum, so I cut very skinny pieces from the foam squares and attach them behind the actual sentiment so you can’t see them.
