Welcome back! A new work week and I am playing with a number of related challenges today.
Critter Crazy (#83); Inspiration Station (#58); and If You Give a Crafter a Cookie (#189) all featuring animals and animal love.
Working with Inkspirational (#309); Color Throwdown (#780); and Retro Rubber (#224) for hearts, colors and sketch layout.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Under Panel – Focal Image: (3¾” x 3¾”) Basic White cardstock.
- The Bicycling Pair image from the retired Joyful Life stamp set (circa 2021) was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Real Red ink applied with a Blender Pen.
- Shadows and highlights were added with the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blends Marker.
- Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Crumb Cake cardstock die-cut with the (3⅛”) Circle die from the On-Line Exclusive Deckled Circles Dies set. The panel was then dry-embossed with the On-Line Exclusive Cross Hatch patterned Basics 3D Embossing Folder.
- Circle Frame: (3¾” x 3¾”) Crumb Cake cardstock die-cut with both the (3⅛”) and (3½”) Deckled Circles Dies.
- Decoration – Hearts: Real Red cardstock scrap.
- Two Paper Clip Hearts were die-cut using the retired Project Life Paper Clip Thinlits Dies set.
- On one Heart, the word, Friends, truncated from one of the sentiment stamps in the Joyful Life stamp set, was inked with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
- Another smaller Heart was die-cut using one of the dies from the retired Bottles & Bubbles Framelits Dies set.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. The Bicycling Pair was affixed in the Background Panel opening and the Sentiment Heart was “clipped” onto the Circle Frame.
A fun card to make with one of my favorite stamps. The delight on the faces of the Rabbit and the Bear just makes me smile.
Thanks for spending some of your time with me today. Cheers, Jolanda!

This is so sweet! I like how you just added a pop of red on the image and used red on embellishments on the card, it goes really well with the kraft. Thanks for joining us over at INKspirational!
