Welcome to Sunday and the newest Paper Players (#673) challenge. Claire has selected a clean & simple card style with a Winter Fun theme. Let’s have some fun!
I selected the retired Snow Much Fun stamp set (Circa 2011) for the Retro Rubber (#222) theme, also Winter Fun and the Snowflake Stencil from the now retired Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks for the Inkspirational (#307) Tools choice and brought it all together with the Freshly Made (#619) Sketch which I flipped to better accommodate my selected image.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Fresh Freesia cardstock.
- Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Basic White cardstock.
- The Snowflakes were stenciled using a Sponge Dauber and Balmy Blue ink.
- The sentiment, snowbuddy likes you as much as me!, was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
- Strip: (1” x 5¼”) Balmy Blue Textured Shimmer Paper.
- Accent Mat: (2½” x 2⅞”) Fresh Freesia cardstock.
- Focal Image: (2⅜” x 2¾”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
- The Snowman with Snowball image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers. Colors chosen: Hat and Scarf – Light and Dark Fresh Freesia; Nose – Dark Calypso Coral; Buttons and Boots – Light Pebbled Path; and White Highlights/Shadows – Light Balmy Blue
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. The Snowman was then popped up with Dimensionals.
A fun romp in the snow with a friendly snowball fight. Are you in?

Adorable, Jolanda! I love the color choices. The stenciled snowflakes are a great choice for the main panel. This guy definitely looks like he is ready for a little winter fun!

Such a fun little snowman, even if he looks like he’s ready to toss that snowball at someone! I still have this set and it’s fun to see him used this week!
