Malaysia Airlines unveiled its A330neo interiors, with seats from Collins Aerospace for the business class cabin and Recaro for economy. The new planes, with 297 seats on board, are expected to join the fleet from Q3 2024.
[T]his sets the benchmark of exciting things to come as we redefine what it means to travel onboard Malaysian Hospitality.

Privacy, power in business class
The Collins Aerospace Elevation seat will be featured in the carrier’s business class cabin. This includes individual privacy doors and direct aisle access for all passengers. Wireless charging is also featured in the mini-suites on Malaysia’s new A330neo.
Elevation is the same base seat as British Airways flies as its Club Suite product, the upgraded business class offering it is deploying across its long-haul fleet, and a derivative of the Super Diamond product line. As with most business class seats, however, the product is highly customized for each airline.
Malaysia’s A330neo will feature 28 business class seats on board. The carrier is the largest to deploy the seat on an A330neo to date.
Amenities in economy
Economy class passengers on the new A330neo will find 269 of Recaro’s CL3810 seats in the cabin. Of those, 24 feature extra leg room.
The seats will be fitted with a number of amenities to boost overall comfort. These include coat hooks and a cup holder.
Seat covers will feature the airline’s signature songket motif, a nod to Malaysia’s cultural heritage.
IFE/C options for Malaysia’s A330neo
Malaysia Airlines’ A330neo will feature entertainment powered by the Safran Passenger Innovations RAVE platform from nose-to-tail. The carrier also recently announced that inflight Wi-Fi is free on board its existing fleet. Presumably that will extend to the A330neo as well. The existing widebody fleet has internet powered by Panasonic Avionics, while Viasat was selected for Malaysia’s 737 MAX fleet. A supplier has not been announced yet for the A330neo.
