A male crew member from Disney+’s forthcoming Marvel series Wonder Man died Tuesday morning on the show’s Los Angeles set.
According to our sister pub Deadline, a rigger fell off the rafters while working at CBS Radford Studios.
Wonder Man is currently in pre-production, with cameras set to start rolling in March. Wonder Man is one of a handful of Marvel series that were delayed due to Hollywood’s dual strikes.
“Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family and friends,” a Marvel rep said in a statement. “And our support is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this accident.”
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Watchmen) is confirmed to fill the title role (aka Simon Williams) in Wonder Man, which is being developed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) and writer-producer Andrew Guest (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Community).
Well, that graphic seems wildly inappropriate for this story. Really, TVL?
That’s the character the show is about. What else do you want them to put on there? Would it be more appropriate if he were smiling?
It’s switched now; better for the solemnity of the situation where someone’s life has come to an unfortunate end.
My condolences to the family and friends of the person who died.
