Keshawn Lamar Pittman was born to loving parents Kenneth J. Pittman and Julieta D. Harris at Grant Hospital on August 30, 1998. Since childhood, he always had a smile on his face and loved to have a good time, even if he was by himself. He was fond of sports and played little league football for the West Mound Stars and youth basketball at Westgate Recreation Center. He adored and looked up to his big brother, Keevon. They shared an unbreakable bond and often battled (unsuccessfully) in basketball and football.

Keshawn took his talent to Briggs High School, where he excelled in basketball while playing alongside some of his best friends. With his big heart and caring nature, Keshawn always made new friends and put a smile on everyone’s face.

Keshawn cherished his family above all else, deeply respecting and valuing his parents. He enjoyed attending D’Anthony’s basketball, football, and soccer games, as well as playing Xbox and Playstation together. Keshawn also loved teasing his younger sister, Destinee, and she had no problem giving it back to him. His greatest joy and source of immense pride was his son Kyrie. Keshawn was an exceptional father, devoted to hugging, playing, laughing, and bonding with his son. He always made sure to express his love by telling Kyrie, “I love you, little man.”

Keshawn leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Julieta (Dwayne) Harris; father, Kenneth Pittman; son, Kyrie Pittman; brothers, Keevon Pittman, D’Anthony Harris; stepbrother, Dwayne “Deucey” Harris II; sister, Destinee Harris; grandparents, Ernest and Iluminada Sparkman, Peggy (Richard) Walton; uncles, Fred Sparkman, JR Walton; aunts, Herminia (Lewis) Small, Sharron “Tee Tee” Sparkman, Wanda Walton; niece, Kaliah Pittman; cousins, Shayneé Brown, Dakell Sparkman, Kianna Small, Sierra Sparkman, Aliyah Sparkman, McKenzie Lynch; Kyrie’s mother, Alin Garcia; great uncles, great aunts, and a host of friends, relatives, and teammates who will miss him.
