Class description:
Experts can have a significant impact on an investigation and add evidentiary value, but choosing the wrong expert can have detrimental consequences. It is critical for investigators to understand what information they should be evaluating when deciding which expert to use. In this session, Alpine Intel’s Kathleen Belletti and Joe Cosgrove will explain the criteria to consider when choosing an expert in evidence handling, EDR/CDR, and fire investigations. Joe and Kathleen will also provide examples of cases where an expert added value or had a negative impact.

Speaker:
Kathleen Belletti, Senior National Fire Experts Account Executive at Alpine Intel
Joe Cosgrove , Senior Auto Account Executive at Alpine Intel

Upcoming Meetings & Events
The New England Chapter of the International Association of Special Investigation Units is a non-profit organization made up of insurance industry fraud investigators, state and federal employees, law enforcement, fire, and other anti-fraud personnel from both the private and public sectors who are dedicated to fighting insurance fraud throughout New England.
We strive to provide the highest level of education and training to our members while promoting awareness of the insurance fraud problem here in the Northeast. Through our relationship with our International parent organization (IASIU) we are able to offer industry recognized certification programs and continuing education credits for both these programs as well as some state mandated CEUs for adjusters.
We welcome you to learn more about our organization and join the fight against insurance fraud.
