Buy Common Circulated Cull Peace Silver Dollars

Common circulated cull Peace Silver Dollars, often cherished by both investors and collectors alike, hold a unique position in the annals of American numismatics.

Struck by the United States Mint from 1921 to 1928, and again in 1934 and 1935, these coins are a tangible piece of the country's history, reflecting a period of recovery and optimism following the conclusion of World War I.

Made of 90% silver and 10% copper, these U.S. Mint silver dollars not only have silver metal value but also a historical and aesthetic appeal that makes them a sought-after piece for any collection.

Coin Highlights:

  • Composition and Weight: Each Peace Silver Dollar consists of 90% silver and 10% copper, adhering to the standard silver dollar specifications of the time, with a total weight of 26.73 grams (0.85938946 of one troy ounce) and a silver content of approximately 0.77344 troy ounces.

  • Diameter: 38.1 mm (1.5 in)

  • Thickness: 2.4 mm (1921-1935)

  • Design: The coin features a striking US Mint design by Anthony de Francisci, showcasing Lady Liberty on the obverse, modeled after his wife, Teresa de Francisci. The reverse depicts an American bald eagle at rest clutching an olive branch with its talons, symbolizing peace, which was the sentiment of the era and the reason behind its namesake.

  • Historical Significance: Minted in the post-World War I era, the Peace Silver Dollar symbolizes the American people's desire for peace after the turmoil of the Great War (World War I; WWI). It marks a significant period in U.S. history, embodying the nation's optimism for a peaceful future.

  • Mint Marks and Varieties: These coins were produced at several U.S. Mint facilities, including Philadelphia (no mint mark), Denver (D), and San Francisco (S). The absence or presence of these mint marks can affect the coin's rarity and value.

  • Condition (No Grade, Cull): Commonly circulated cull Peace Silver Dollars are typically in a condition that shows significant wear from use in commerce. "Cull" coins may have scratches, dings, or other marks that reflect their age and history of circulation. While they may not have the aesthetic appeal of higher-grade silver coins, they are an affordable way to own a piece of American silver currency and history.

  • Investment and Collectibility: While cull condition coins might not fetch high premiums over their silver content, they are an accessible entry point for new collectors or those looking to own a piece of history without a significant investment. Their silver content also makes them a stable store of value, particularly attractive to silver investors.

The Peace Silver Dollar, especially in circulated cull conditions like that of junk silver coins, offers a unique combination of historical significance, beauty, and value. Whether for a seasoned collector, a numismatic enthusiast, or an investor in precious metals, these coins represent a fascinating chapter in the story of American currency.

    Very pleased
Received on time. Was able to track shipment throughout the process. The coins were in much better condition than I had expected. I have purchased some from another supplier that showed considerable wear. Paid with a credit card, and the process was unbelievably smooth. Only criticism is that I was unable to reorder immediately by credit card after I had received the initial delivery. Would like to see that change. A successful transaction should be sufficient vetting.

    Great Value
These are circulated and "used" coins, please understand that first of all. Otherwise, they were exactly as I was expecting. I wanted this silver for the value, adding to my stash, not shiny new collectable, etc. The premium is LOW and overall they are very nice. I would recommend giving these a look.

    Great Silver Dollar
Like many others, I placed an order for various pre-1965 silver American coins in July, I received the free Peace Dollar. It's a beautiful coin. I am always pleased with MMX and I wouldn't purchase my bullion anywhere else.
