Brownfield Ag Weather Today

The last of California’s major weather systems will continue to wind down, with storminess shifting eastward into the Four Corners States.  During the mid- to late-week period, a low-pressure system will move from the central Plains into the Northeast, generating heavy snow from the central Rockies and adjacent High Plains to northern New England.  East of the Rockies, some of the heaviest snow—up to a foot—should fall in parts of Nebraska.  South of the storm’s track, Southern thunderstorms may become severe, especially late Wednesday into Thursday.  As that weather system departs the eastern U.S., rain and snow showers may briefly return across California and other areas of the West, although the late-week event will feature only light precipitation.  Elsewhere, mostly dry weather will prevail during the next 5 days in the south-central U.S., including much of Texas.
