Hi Everyone, As many of you who own British sports cars know by now, The Roadster Factory suffered a total loss on Christmas Day due to a devastating fire. A fine business owned by thoughtful and helpful owners lost everything in the building including several classic automobiles, the stock of many parts, and their livelihoods. It is an unspeakable loss, but fortunately, no lives were lost. Suffice it to say, a terrible loss for Albert and company, but also for the entire community. This is a small effort to pay back to those who have been a tremendous resource supporting our hobby going back many decades. Please consider donating in support of TRF!
While I’m sure that as a long term business there is some type of insurance covering some losses, this typically doesn’t cover any deductibles, employee lost wages and a host of other sundry items.
I’ve seen some questioning the motives and incentives for this GFM…I have none other than to help a business that suffered an unthinkable loss. If there is something else to add to the GFM to reassure contributors, I’m happy to provide it if I can. Donate or don’t, it’s up to you, but thanks to those who do.
I updated the goal to a more realistic number based upon initial feedback. Does anyone have a direct email contact for the owner, or is willing to contact them to make them aware of this effort? I don’t want anyone to think this is anything but an effort to give thanks and support.
