The music of Barbara Moore

Barbara was a hugely talented composer, arranger and vocalist. Her music spanned powerful car chase scenes to gentle vocal melodies and sophisticated jazz harmonies – production music that was the soundtrack to our lives in the 1960s and 70s.

Barbara Moore had nearly 300 compositions to her name. She was the composer of Vocal Shades and Tones, one of the finest albums in the De Wolfe Music catalogue. She was the arranger who gave At the Sign of the Swingin’ Cymbal its kick and the ethereal vocalist who made that unforgettable sound in the opening bars of TV theme tune The Saint.
