Elon Musk has released video and details of the crash of the Falcon 9 booster as it attempted to make an historic powered landing after the launch of the CRS-5 mission.

Today's launch of the CRS-5 mission to the International Space Station (ISS) has been scrubbed. The launch, which was scheduled for 6:20 am EST, was aborted one minute and 21 seconds prior to lift off due to an issue with the second stage.

SpaceX and NASA have announced that the fifth cargo resupply mission (CRS-5) to the International Space Station scheduled for this Friday has been once more delayed, this time to no earlier than January 6th.

SpaceX has confirmed that it will not only attempt a powered landing of the Falcon 9 booster on Friday after the CRS-5 mission launch, but will do so as a precision landing on a robotic sea barge.
