Having celebrated 50 years of the 911 last year, Porsche has now announced four new 911 Carrera GTS models. The new additions are rear-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive Coupe and Cabriolet models. Porsche says the vehicles fall somewhere between the 911 Carrera S and the 911 GT3.
Each of the new models kicks out 430 hp (316 kW), allowing them to accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4 seconds when equipped with Porsche's PDK gearbox. Each will hit upwards of 300 km/h (186 mph), with the manual transmission and rear-wheel drive Coupe able to top out at 306 km/h (190 mph).
The cars all feature Porsche's Sport Chrono package, which allows the driver to select a preferential suspension setup and upshift at higher speeds. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) damper system, meanwhile, lowers the ride height of the new models by 10 mm (0.4 in) in order to improve stability and performance.
The new models all have the 911 Carrera 4 body with wide-flared rear wheel arches and come with 20-inch matte black wheels as standard. Bi-xenon headlights and the Porsche's sport exhaust system are also included as standard.
The 911 Carrera GTS and 911 Carrera 4 GTS will be available in Germany from November 2014, with prices starting at €117,549 (US$148,874).
