Seasonal warmth on the Plains; cooler days ahead for the Midwest

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or above-normal temperatures nationwide, except for cooler-than-normal conditions in the Four Corners region. 

Meanwhile, near-or above-normal rainfall in the Atlantic Coast States and from California to the High Plains should contrast with drier-than-normal weather in the Pacific Northwest and from the southeastern Plains and the western Gulf Coast region into the Great Lakes States.
