Brownfield Ag Weather Today

Showers affecting portions of the northern Plains and western Corn Belt will pivot southeastward, reaching the South by mid-week.  Five-day rainfall totals could reach 1 to 3 inches in the western Corn Belt and 2 to 4 inches or more from the central Gulf Coast region into Georgia and the Carolinas.  Meanwhile, heavy rain across southern Texas should end later Monday, as moisture shifts westward.  In contrast, little or no rain will fall during the next 5 days in the eastern Corn Belt and from the Pacific Coast to the northern High Plains.  In the Far West, heat will accompany the dry weather.  The southern Plains will also remain mostly dry, but heavy showers associated with the Southwestern monsoon circulation could lead to additional flash flooding in the Four Corners States.
