Utah State University student awarded Glenn Kummerow Scholarship

The 2018 Glenn Kummerow Scholarship presented by the National Association of Farm Broadcasting Foundation was awarded to Corryn La Rue, a Senior at Utah State University with a double major in agricultural communications and journalism.

La Rue has been a member of NAFB since her freshman year of college. She has completed several internships throughout her college career including one with AgNet West in California and Agri-Pulse in Washington D.C.

“I am on my tenth internship and I can’t get enough of them because getting that industry experience is valuable to me and it helps build my confidence that I really can do this. I think once you build that confidence and network of wonderful people, you are able to expand your career before you’ve even graduated.”

After her graduation in May of 2019 she plans to stay involved in NAFB, move east, and work as an agriculture journalist.
