Youth benefit from Wisconsin State Fair auctions

Auctions at the Wisconsin State Fair brought in the bucks for FFA and youth animal projects.  The Blue Ribbon Meat Products Auction raised almost 100-thousand dollars for the Wisconsin 4-H Foundation to support 4-H education, workshops, and youth development.

The 2019 Best of Show Award went to Louie’s Finer Meats of Cumberland for their Old-World Sausage.  The top bid was 45-hundred dollars for the Grand Champion bone-in ham.

The Governor’s Blue Ribbon Livestock Auction brought in more than 250-thousand dollars, with much of that going for youth scholarships.  The top bid was $47,500 from Meijer for Riley Runkel’s Grand Champion Steer.

The fair wrapped up Sunday.
