USDA NRCS updates RCPP

An updated USDA conservation program is getting ready to launch. The Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) is taking proposals from potential partners aimed at improving the nation’s water quality, fighting drought, enhancing soil health, supporting wildlife habitat and protecting the viability of agriculture.

Partners can request up to $10-Million dollars in funding for almost any project authorized in the farm bill by the NRCS to carry out. The 2018 Farm Bill enhanced the RCPP program from the 2014 bill.

The Milwaukee River Watershed Conservation Partnership in Wisconsin is using the RCPP to build the capacity of watershed stakeholders within the Milwaukee River watershed to help conserve farmland.

Applications will be taken through December 3rd.
