Reports: Top U.S. and Chinese officials to meet

Various media sources report that top trade officials from the U.S. and China are making plans to meet in Washington at the end of January, in a continued effort to resolve their ongoing trade conflict.

The talks will reportedly include the top Chinese negotiator, Vice Premier Liu He, U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin.

President Trump said on Thursday the U.S. was having “tremendous success” in its trade negotiations with China.
