POET’s Broin says EPA chief assured him on RFS rule
The CEO of POET Ethanol, Jeff Broin, says EPA administrator Andrew Wheeler has assured him that the final RFS rule will fully account for small refinery exemptions.
Broin says he spoke with Wheeler in early December.
“He called to run through the specifics,” Broin says. “Of course, the devil’s in the details when it comes out in writing. But he made a promise to me and I hope that it will come out the way that he said it will.”
The final rule is being reviewed by the White House Office of Management and Budget.
Broin spoke with Brownfield at the Farmer2Farmer Conference in Omaha.
