Breeding females added to Celebration of Champions

The Indiana State Fair will now recognize breeding females as part of its Celebration of Champions.  Previously 26 champions were recognized during the event and beginning this year, 15 breeding female champions, that represent the best seedstock the state has to offer, will also be recognized at the 2019 Celebration of Champions.

The event provides monetary awards to the best-of-the-best at the Indiana State Fair. 

The newly added categories include:
4-H Supreme Champion and Reserve Supreme Champion Beef Heifers
4-H Supreme Champion and Reserve Supreme Champion Gilts
4-H Supreme Champion and Reserve Supreme Champion Ewes
4-H Supreme Champion and Reserve Supreme Champion Dairy Cows
4-H Supreme Champion and Reserve Supreme Champion Dairy Heifers
4-H Supreme Champion Full Blood & Supreme Champion Percentage Meat Goat Does
4-H Supreme Champion Sr. & Supreme Champion Jr. Dairy Goat Does
4-H Best Exhibition in Show Poultry

The Indiana State Fair runs August 2-18 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis.
