CME milk futures lower, cash dairy mixed Wednesday

Milk futures were lower and cash dairy prices mixed again Wednesday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

March Class III milk was down $0.02 at $17.68.  April was down $0.10 at $17.51.  May was down $0.09 at $17.75.  June was down $0.09 at $18.23.  July through January contracts ranged from unchanged in November and January to ten cents lower in July.

Dry whey was up $0.0025 at $0.44.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Cheese blocks were down $0.0475 at $1.7975.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Cheese barrels were up $0.03 at $1.6975.  Two sales were recorded at $1.6875 and $1.6975.

Butter was down $0.0150 at $2.33.  Three sales were recorded from $2.3250 to $2.33.

Nonfat dry milk was unchanged at $1.1650.  One sale was recorded at $1.12.
