Milk futures mostly lower

In Class III trade at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, milk futures were mostly lower on consolidation and follow through selling after Wednesday’s decline. March was down $.02 at $13.80, and April, the exception, was up $.08 at $13.56, while May was $.02 lower at $13.41 and June was down $.02 at $13.46.

At the spot market, cash cheese barrels were up $.005 at $1.47 with one load sold. The last bid unfilled was on one load at that price. Blocks held at $1.51.

Butter was $.0225 higher at $1.9825. There were four loads sold, from $1.9825 to $1.99. The last bid unfilled was on one load at a $1.98. The last offer uncovered was for one load $1.99.

Nonfat dry milk was up $.005 at $.75. The last bid unfilled was on one load at that price.
