Programs ICON

Warm, dry weather last week helped Iowa farmers make a lot of progress in the soybean harvest.

As of Sunday, 65% of Iowa’s soybean crop is harvested, more than double the previous week’s total, and 95% are dropping leaves.

96% of corn is mature, with 29% harvested, compared to 38% on average.

The third cutting of alfalfa is nearly complete.

62% of pastures are rated good to excellent and livestock conditions are described as good.
